Balcones Texas Rye 750ml is a Texas-made rye whisky crafted from a 100% rye mash bill, featuring Elbon rye from northwest Texas along with crystal, chocolate, and roasted rye varieties. Distilled in copper pot stills, it is bottled at 50% ABV and aged for a minimum of four years in new charred American oak barrels, adhering to Bottled in Bond standards. The nose offers a complex bouquet of spruce-tip tea, candied fennel, gingersnaps, mint chip ice cream, and raspberry glaze. On the palate, it presents layers of graham cracker crust, cardamom, cedar chest, carrot frond, dark chocolate espresso bean, Nutella, and apricot preserve on rye toast. The finish is long and dry, with lingering notes of chocolate, tobacco, and a subtle herbal character.
