CLONTARF 1014 IRISH WHISKEY 750ML

TRIPLE-DISTILLED IRISH whiskey yes but with substantial kick nonetheless. Aroma of vanilla some raw alcohol and a sweetness that sits underneath a bit of burning plastic. Very smooth on entry in the first sips but with a crackly young oak char that begins to overtake the sweetness of the first impressions. Rather copper in color and with a solid body and sticky legs. Not so layered as other Irish blends in the price range but definitely bolder. A little overmuch in fact.
