GLENDRONACH PORT WOOD 750ML

Glendronach Port Wood is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky with a rich sherry foundation matured initially in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, then finished for three years in pipes that once held Port wine from Portugal’s Douro Valley. On the nose, it offers intense cherry wood tones, waves of Victoria plum, bramble, strawberry jam, with fragrant top notes of cherry blossom and honeysuckle, all over a base of sandalwood and ginger. The palate brings lush, layered fruit: blackberry, roasted apple crumble, freshly baked gingerbread, evolving into baked orange and black cherry back-notes. The finish is long and lingering, with orange peel, sultana, and cherry cake harmonizing in a richly fruity close.
